Sad news
I hope you have all heard by now that one week ago Liz passed away in her sleep.
She was an angel and a fighter, and a treasure to all of us that knew her. To date there have been 190 contributors to this site. It has been amazing and touching to see such a response. Thank you everyone who gave and helped Liz and her family make it through this very difficult time. Love & blessings, Jen Progress & an event in Cardiff on June 26th

There have been so many "random acts of kindness" on behalf of Liz. As a result of an article on the University of Portland website last week, alums who have never even met Liz are coming to chipin.com to give. There have also been two articles in the Daily Pilot generating responses from Liz's hometown. Fundraising events so far have included CIP Management's BBQ, "Don't Worry, Be Happy" t-shirt sales, and a volleyball tournament all yielding unbelievable responses. There will be another benefit on June 26th in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Please email andreabatlle@gmail.com for more information. All of this generosity provides untold relief to Liz and her family. Hi, everyone-
If you are receiving this request, you most likely know about Liz's health situation and what she is going through. Many of you have expressed a desire to do something to help Liz and her family in some way. Liz may be in for some long and expensive treatments that will not be entirely covered by health insurance, and both she and the rest of her family might need to travel a lot in the coming weeks between LA and Portland. In response to that, we have set up this fund to help them defray some of these costs, which could turn out to be substantial. She will need to meet her maximum out-of-pocket for her medical insurance policy, as well as other costs that fall outside of insurance. We also want Liz and her family to be able to travel when necessary, whether it's to seek medical treatment or just to be with one another during all this, without having to worry about the cost of airline tickets.
